Columbia, Adair County, KY

If you’ve never been to Adair County let us tell you about this amazing place. We are a rural community made up of some of the best people you will ever find.

Perfectly located between Green River Lake and Lake Cumberland, we are home to Holmes Bend Marina, a great place to camp, rent cabins, dock your houseboat, fish and enjoy the wildlife.  All over Adair County you can enjoy camping, fishing, kayaking, hiking, shopping on the Square and delicious food at our restaurants & country stores.

Columbia is also home to Lindsey Wilson College and we invite you to stroll across the campus and visit the Begley Chapel which was designed by the late world-renowned architect E. Fay Jones.  Jones, a disciple of the legendary American architect Frank Lloyd Wright, who was widely regarded to be one of the world’s leading chapel architects.

Adair County’s town square is a cornerstone of the community with an abundance of history, featuring a central courthouse and 19th Century buildings and churches.  The “Square” as we call it is home to our Downtown Days festival which is held annually on the 2nd Saturday in October and the preceding Friday night.

Come and check us out, we would love to see you around town!
